If I were a business about to sponsor a football club big time, I'd be more than a little embarrassed than having Stonebridge Road renamed after my company - let's face it, the ground's more than a little 'tired' and certainly not a big money image.

It certainly looks like it. If I was the sponsor I would take a v dim view of leeking it in advance of a shiny big press conference/release. I might just cancel the deal.

 

So I hope mr unofficial net knows what he is doing.... even if its his guess at the sponsor and a mock up of the shirt he might be right and it could end up being very embarrassing or worse for the club.

I'd think it would be best to remove Eurostar from the image, people may take it for granted that this will be the new sponsor (unless Mr. Smith knows more than we do). If it's not Eurostar and something on a slightly small scale, some people may end up disappointed.

Would the Eurostar logo look right on our home strip. I mean...yellow, with red. Hmmmm....don't seem to mix somehow.

I don't think it makes any difference. You can't expect the biggest non league sponsorship deal to go through without speculation. That is all it is. I'm sure nothing is leaked from the club with their MI5 style of communication.

It merely served as a mock-up, one more bit of speculation hardly does any damage with most fleet fans and even local newspapers speculating as to who the new sponsor is. Afterall this is the "unofficial" site, it's our place to speculate and the "official" site to provide actual official information.
