Those teams are the only omni-present teams since the Premiership began.

 

Arsenal, unfortunately, are the only team never to have ever been relegated from the top division, despite finishing in the relegation zone back in the early 1900's.

 

They got a reprieve, and Spurs, who finished sixth from bottom, were relegated instead, hence the rivalry.
