when they first went up they were bright red and white like our shirts......the reds faded now and they are mostly off white but those nets have seen some magnificent action and received some great goals....I have a fantastico foto through the nets when they were new of jonsey volleying the third against wealdstone in 02...

do we need an excuse....

but it was barry fox...played central midfield against w/stone and scored the first goal on 41 minutes in the new red and white nets..windmill end...

Very good guess, but mefinks it was John Rothon and it was about the 41st minute, pici was in the Recorder.

Barry scored against Basildon in our first friendly and is now plying his trade with Mountnessing, dunno what happened to John tho.
