Most would agree that mclaren is a [****!!****] and doesent know what his doing we should all still cheer for england till the dying seconds like i will be doing when i go to the estonia game . Lets hope beckham can keep his form up and nicky shorey can have a great game. we may not have wayne rooney but we still have magic michael. I Strongly feel we will beat brazil and the pitch helps us cos its cut up and torn which will stop brazil playing their game. it might not be a full strength team for brazil but we havent got full strength ever eg our defence. I agree With owen lets make wembley a fortress and make it our pitch to not lose on. Come on england!

brazil team doesn't look too strong,but when you study it that is probably one of their better teams,Ok there are players like alves at hereenveen who is unheard of but he is only unheard of in brazil because he left when he was 16 and most brazilians have never seen him(dutch footy ias not particularly high in brazilian tv!)

THats the trouble with england they sit back and that what happens. i still think some players show no heart in playing and lack the desire. We have to get the gerrard-lampard thing sorted out. Shorey looks good thought he played well. Wonder why every match at wembley so far has been boring apart from the fa trophy final

Wasn't my doing, the prawn sandwhich eaters said it was blocking their view so the Stewards pulled it up about mid way through the first half, I hung it over again at half time but the same thing happend mid way through the second half.

When I first put it up a steward asked how big it was, told him it was only a little flag !! He laughed once i'd put it up but he didn't really care.

Nice one Spuddy, those people in the boxes, in general, are not real footie folk anyway.Only had one experience in a sort of "Corporate" way with an electrical firm who were responsible for the floodlights etc.. then when they didn't work at start of second half all hell let loose.

Funnily enough I had the same kinda thing happen in the ECWC Final against TSV M 1860 in '65. Alan Sealey, god bless him, tucked two away and that was my answer.

they have ruined football at the top end for the average fan.

Thats why non league football is on the up again because they are real fans with real clubs.Sad thing is that it is not just premiership that is too expensive but the championship clubs are the same and some div1 & div 2 clubs are going the same way

Agree UM, but it's supply and demand, while they are getting full houses they will charge those prices.

Good point tho, NLF is on the up and just talking to a few people recently, it's more enjoyable.

I didn't think it was a bad game to be honest. It had it's highlights, a bit slow in the first half but the second half made up for it.

 

As for the heart and determination comment, one must remember it was only a friendly and 5/6 changes don't help things... Terry would have most definately prevented their goal thats for sure. I think we were the better side against a weakened Brazil but Brazil is Brazil nonetheless.

 

Lampard was his usual self and frankly got the booing he deserved... imo Becks Gerrard Hargreaves/Carrick Cole/Lennon is the midfield we need... Smith wasn't that great up front but he can certainly do better...

 

No matter, let's hope they do the job tomoz...
