It wa a great weekend. Weather stayed good too. We managed to spend near on £2000 of the kitty on booze between a dozen of us while the other 7 or 8 spent plenty too. Good pre season training!! It was Prague the week before so i was proper hanging come Monday morning.

Been doing my Judo camps all week so totally knackered during the day and answering the phone all evening to managers from other clubs who are after my services for next season. (Yeah right).

 

I am not as small as i seem. Although as soon as i've usually skipped past the right back or centre midfielder, i do seem to look like a dot in the distance.

Looking forward to the new season!!

Any view on manager choice?

Danny Rolfe was the best man for the job. He knows Ash United like the back of his hand and knows all the players like no one else. If he hadnt of got the job i think there would have been a lot of players leave.

 

He is well respected at Ash.

He is very close to a lot of players and i think the hardest part of his job will be when making tough decisions like dropping players that he has known a long time. ( great guy is Danny and dont forget who your real friends are mate )

 

In all seroiusness he was the right choice. Just hope we can keep most of the players now. I know a few have been approached by higher league clubs.
