i have just found out looking at an old picture of billy bonds(west ham) tackling on john morrissey(everton)in the 1971 spring that their shirts were without a club badge!no boleyn castle for the irons and no "nil satis nisi optimum"written on the everton yellow away kit!amazing smile

Coachie, back then, many clubs didn't have the badge on their shirts accept for cup finals.

although that quote has been used in about 4 films to my knowledge since...you picked the original !

 

I have a Hertford Town shirt from the mid-70s, that is 100% polyester....claret n blue (as modelled by Trevor), byt no cuff detail)
