You've got no chance of cooking and sanding your way to the ESL title Coachie! So forget about the idea! grin

I would just like to get correct your statement, the " award" you deservedly won last season was for Sportsmanship on the field of play not that there is anything wrong with Beryl's cooking or the warm welcome we always get at Lower Road but credit where credit is due and you must have some responsibility for what goes on the field !

Thanks LC,that should shut few people up,that keep slandering Coachie. As a player and a manager-coach i have never ever been sent off and i'm proud of this record. All i have got was a five bookings as a captain and a game ban, that's all!the fact that with a game left we were head to head with the runaway league leaders shows you how important is discipline on the field of play.I always believed that you give and take it in football and also if you might disagree with the officials decisions, once he has blown that whistle he ain't gonna change his mind.I have to say that the referee's standard in the ESL is not great but if we see the premierships or the international ones then.... :)The referees are learning and they are gonna make mistakes the same as everyone(managers and players). What i would like to see next season is zero tolerance versus managers or coaches that try to intimidate or affect in some ways the referee's decisions, especially at half-time.I have to say after some games last season(barkingside away,fa vase stanway etc, etc)i was really close to go and strangle the referee but then common sense prevails and you think.... that poor cristian is just trying to do a job at the best of his ability so you calm down and get on with things. The same is expected from your players:the only player that we had sent off in the league was James Binns against Romford at home for two silly yellow cards in the space of 2 minutes crazyHe never played for us again...i don't know if he was so ashamed of his behaviour or just realized how silly he was in letting himself or his team mates down.I personally didn't have to speak to him,he made his mind up!Anyway, going back to the food subject, our Beryl(and her assistants) certainly deserved top marks for the hospitality.i think we should give an award to clubs for that. The Eastern Junior Alliance does that for the u'16s and U'18s....if my memory is right the season before last hullbridge won the u'16s one and....brentwood the u'18s..sooo the proof is in the lasagnes, ehm pardon pudding! grin
