Rumoured to be going over to the dark side and joining Chelmsford. Apparently he is out of contract at the Fleet.

I did see him there at the semi final playoff and if that's not overwhelming confirmation of his move than I'd like to know what is!

This may seem like sour grapes but I really hope Keelo doesn't go to Chelmo.

 

He's a Conference class player and far too good for the Ryman Prem. Problem is because he has commitments to his farm he doesn't want to move out of the area or go full time therefore that limits his options a bit.

 

Hope he stays at Ebbsfleet.

I hope it's not about the money but unfortunately in this day and age most players will have their heads turned by a wad of cash.

 

As I said Keelo can still do the business at Conference level.

we spoke with johnny and had high hopes that he would join us but the offer from chelmo was to good to refuse it seems...

 

keelo will always be a hx legend for his endeavours at the stadium and good luck to him at chelmo except of course when playing us....

 

I am certain he will be afforded the proper applause for a returning hero when he next visits us...

Keeling was a god, imagine him and Janners playing on either wing. A great player and a nice chap.

I agree. It was a shame when he left us and I understand his reasons for doing so. He was made very welcome when he came back in the pre-season game against Gravesend & Northfleet last season and I'm sure he will be made very welcome this season.

If Hallett is too good for the Ryman Prem, why was he often often named as a sub?

Put on too much weight apparently so Kingy benched him to get him motivated again. Don't think it succeeded.

He looked as tubby during the play-offs as last August. Looked quite dangerous when he was on the field though.

Put on a stone in weight apparently. Was given advice by senior players but didn't heed it.

 

Hallett is an impact player. He will go down in Canvey folklore for the goals he scored against Grays, Xmas 2005 but I think burnt his bridges by going to Chelmo when Dagenham were interested in him.

 

Potentially he is far better than Ryman Premier but he needs to work at his fitness if he is to achieve that.
