I wouldn't worry too much about it Miko, the SSML hierarchy have Clement Temile to keep the Worldwide publicity flag flying next season, he is Head Coach at Kentish Town and his son is Toto Tamuz Temile.

Yes I think this was very much your undoing as you tried to pull the wool over our eyes, if you had been straight with everyone from the outset and told us that you had also applied to join the Herts Senior County League, as well as the SSML, then we would have thought more highly of you.

We weren't trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes. If we had been accepted to play SSML at our current venue then we would not have even bothered to apply for the County League in the first place. The fact was we wanted to get out of the league we have been playing in for the last four seasons and we had to keep our options open and I am sure everyone else, apart from you of course, can understand that.

I must also say that the fact that you don't think very highly of us is hardly going to make us lose any sleep over it! Everyone is entitled to their opinion though, including you and if that is what you think then fine.

Baldock Town - You have got the wrong end of the stick entirely, we don't dislike your Club but it would have been nice if you had been up front with us from the outset that's all and just mentioned that you had also applied to join the Herts Senior County League in order to keep your options open. In the end we had to hear it from Horace that you were going to play there next season when we all fully expected you to be in the SSML, you then later came on to try and explain it away which wouldn't have been necessary if you had been straight with us.

Rhodes - who's the "we" in your negative statements?

I personally did not inform any one on this forum because I am sure our club wouldn't have appreciated me giving others information when nothing had been decided!!

By giving people like you information could end up making us cut our noses off to spite and we didn't want to jeopardise our chances. Yes, you may say that is looking after number one, but why would we not want to keep our options open??

You keep using the "WE" statement, but everyone else can understand the situation we were in and people need to know why we made the decisions we did and that is why I explained.

Why wouldn't you more like, I'm actually quite surprised as you seem to enjoy being the source of information and take great satisfaction from being the first to bring us news on anything from the price of fish to garden fence style tittle tattle that you pick up on your visits to Chalk Lane.

Is this likely to be the last we ever hear from Baldock Town now.

The poster, I felt a bit sorry for him actually as he sounded like a decent down to earth sort and think he was just caught between the devil and the deep blue sea.

Sorry to disappoint you, but as long as I am still permitted to post, I will always keep the forum up to date with how we are performing in the County League. Obviously it remains to be seen how well we will do, but I certainly don't think it is the last you will hear from our club!!

Good luck to Kentish Town for the coming season and I will look out for results with interest.

Baldock Town - Despite what you might think I have no objection to you posting on the SSML Forum on behalf of your Club and thanks for your good wishes for next season. Like I said I simply felt that you went about it the wrong way by playing your cards so close to your chest and I hope you learned a valuable lesson that being up front with people from the outset is always the best bet.
