Still seems so strange that we won't see him anymore around the ground or afterwards in the bar. Just doesn't seem right for someone so young. I hope the club and the fans will come up with a fitting tribute for him.

Great idea, would also like to see a minutes silence at our first home game. And lets not forget the steward who died and also red head lad who died in the fire, James?. Spoke to all on away games over the years great people. Five years of turmoil lets do it this season for them.

A nice tribute to Dennis indeed. Many thanks to Alex at the Gazette office for putting it together. As others have mentioned I too am still finding it hard to come to terms with. A big big loss & a crying shame.

The minutes silence is a lovely idea although I prefer the clapping tribute as it allows people to smile and remember the person.

PS Could someone possibly scan the tribute so us exiles who cannot access a copy of the IOTG read this please??? Harvey, Cookie, Alan? One of you must have a scanner!

I for one will be unable to attend but would like to send my best wishes to everyone in Dennis' family. Is there a charity or similar that a donation could be made to?

In answer to your questions DM, have pasted a quote from Dennis' family below:

Hi im sarah, Dennis's neice. I know for sure that dennis would love it if u wore the teams colours for his funeral

So it is fine with the family to wear the Team colours at the funeral, it was also stated in the obituary in the Local paper that MFC supporters were going to wear the team colours.

I shall be in any case, don't know how many others will follow suit.
