Sad , Sad news Dennis did`nt have a bad bone in his body , im sure he will be greatly missed around the terreces of HDP , RIP mate.

It is so sad to lose not only a fully committed fan of the game but a fan who would support his team through thick and thin! I didn't know dennis for that long but to have songs sung about you by the choir at every game shows the level of respect to which he was and will always be held in! Dennis was so caught up in his love of football he would never stop talking about it especially on away trips!

 

Dennis you are and always will be a true margate supporter that will be sorely missed by all fellow blues fans.

A uniquely great character who will be sorely missed. Will never forget on the last Dons away trip when he asked Butler where Johnno was. Butler stated he was at work, to which Dennis replied "He's in the shed?". Lol! Great stuff!

A very nice bloke who had time for everyone. I echo what everyone was said: a sad sad loss.

I have received an E-mail this morning from Dennis's niece Sarah.

"HI I'm Sarah, Dennis was my Uncle. My Family and i have all seen this forum and, were all really touched by the comments left about Dennis. I just wanted to E-Mail you to show our appreciation for the thread you started and, the comments which were left. I will probably see you at the Funeral". "Thanks Sarah". X.

Dennis was a person that you will always remember for something he said or done , i was standing with him at Hendon on the last day of this season listening to him shouting at the Hendon keeper that he should have been sent off , his words were ( oi keeper you no you should av been sent off , you should`nt be on the f...ing pitch should you) and i think the keeper even agreed with him , great never forget it , he was 1 in a million was our Dennis .

Yes he was a true supporter of the blues. In fact i think he lived in that gate shirt. One of the real supporters who would be down that coffin end if it was pouring with rain and we were 6 down. I only helped at the club once in 2005 and not any difficult job but where was Dennis -- in the bogs scrubbing and cleaning all day. Well done mate.

Thought someone was joking until I read through this thread......this is the worst thing I've heard since the passing of Syko. My thoughts and condolences go out to his family - always thought that every club should have 'character' fans and he was truly one of those. Will miss you on those away terraces next season Dennis and that song will never be the same without you there matey.....
