well it is football related at least.....

New Welling United player-manager Neil Smith has appointed former Tottenham and Millwall defender Stuart Nethercott as his assistant.

The pair worked together at Blue Sqaure Premier side Woking last season but know each other from their youth team days with Spurs.

Nethercott was a central defender who made more than 300 appearances in the Football League and is expected to take on a coaching role at the club.

"Stuart is looking more at getting in on the coaching side of it," Smith told Kent Online.

"We're not looking to play him but he will register as a player and if we need him then we will use him," he added.

"I know what sort of character he is. He really impressed me at Woking with his motivation skills and knowledge of the game. He will be an ideal coach for Welling."
