Odd player Donovan if he could of improved his fittnes and had a run in the first team he "may" have done ok.

Imho he was surpassed by Smith as a centerback last season any way, and a few of the young lads sound like a better prospect then Donovan as well, and would probably keep them selfs in better shape.

Always worry when a player leaves to join a club in the same division.

 

At the moment, we have minimal defenders:

 

Smith-ok but still inexperienced ?

 

Skinner-has he definately re-signed?

 

And thats it.

I always worry when players are released before others are there to take their place.

I am sure he will do a very good job for you.

 

He is a nice lad. My best memory of him was walking to the dressing room with Trotty after we had beat Wealdstone 4-0 in an otherwise dire season, and they both had huge grins on their faces. At the time I thought he was a defender in the same mode as Trotty, and their fortunes were going the same way, but there you go, football eh?

Lacked a bit of pace but completely correct, James never let us down and in fact was equally as good if not better a defender than Trott, he certainly made less errors.
