So what's the general consensus on.. 'quinny'? Going from above I imagine he's one of those players that sits back and does a quiet job dealing with things? Think he'll be a decent signing for a Ryman Prem/Conf South team? Does he have any weaknesses in his play that has let him down?

Good luck to the Fleet next season regardless of response (except when you play us in the fa trophy again of course!) smile

Russ, that's basically it. Sometimes he isn't noticed because he is a quietly effective player, but sometimes I think he was too quiet and wasn't wholly effective, I think Marc Ricketts can definately do a better job for us as a DM.

Nonetheless, he will definately be one of the better players in the Conference South next year, especially after plying his trade with the cream of the crop of Non-League football for a season wink

Good Luck next year, let's see you keep closing the gap on Franchise FC!

I was a fan of Rob Quinn, and in my view, played a vital role as our denfending midfielder, but he was a quiet player who was not significantly noticed by the fans.

I wish him all the best at AFC Wimbledon, may seen him back in the Conference in 2/3 seasons time.

Fleetbabe, you gonna keep your avatar? grin

Certain elements of the crowd seemed to 'notice' him.

Something firmly cemented somewhere anyway......

For those who think RR has done a U turn ( seems to be the in thing these days ! Mclaren/Beckham....Tories/Grammar Schools etc), here is RR's post dated 15/01/07: -

"We were very poor against a side two leagues below us

Without Charlie up front with Sodje we look like we will never score. Young Luke even looked weak against a team like them - he needs resting and getting out on loan somewhere.

Why on earth we see Quinn week in/week out amazes me . Everyone agrees that he is lazy, slow and fools no-one with his fist clenching and clapping (except maybe LD).

Our squad is weak due to funds etc and without our first choice 11 we will slip down the league. Let's hope LD can draft in a few before the window closes at the end of the month.

Apart from Quinn, I thought everyone worked hard enough, we just lacked any guile or quality and looked no better than Ryman League ourselves.

Oh and one last thing ... do the muppets behind the goal realise how much they are embarrassing themselves and the club by chanting so many obcenities at the excellent away support ... particularly when we are losing ! Maybe when their voices break they will give it a rest."

No offence RR....just got a bit of time on my hands today....

Cheers,

beer
