Great news. They've both been inspirational over the last season.

Congratulations to both Leon and Jamie. Both players over the years have shown incredible loyalty to Billericay, and both have been an inspiration to their team mates with performances and dedication.

Cheers Leon and Jamie !

As like all your other team mates and management The Blue Army are right behind ya wink

Any clubs who think they can take our players had better think again. We have some fantasic talent, and we have all put a lot into our club over the past few years, so letting our best players go cheaply is not an option.

We are looking to strengthen our team over the next few months, not weaken it.

Too right TC...and we'll go about our business queitly again, no doubt.

I see we''re all ready been written off for any honours next season by our AFC friends and nearest neighbours...Would that be wishful thinking on their part or just the usual blind judgement... wink

The "real" fans from up the road will be taking you lot very seriously next season - we just hope that you don't us too seriously and maybe we'll win a local derby for a change.

Good luck for next season and lets hope for some close encounters and promotion for..............................??

BC

I think we can be reasonably confident to say the the teams that were up there last season will be there and there abouts again - AFC, City, Ricay, Margate etc etc.

It will be interesting to see how Ricay cope without Whelpdale and how they invest the money they received. We would be in the same position if we lose Ricky...

You could argue that Nathan moving on to Brighton in January was a bigger loss, he had been an integral part of our team for far longer. Chris played his first game for us in October of Last year.

We coped alright then, and will do the same again, our style is about teamwork, not individuals. The inevitable new faces who will join us next season will ensure we remain competitive and pushing hard.

Last seasons players playerof the year Steve Heffer has signed a contract for next season. brille008

Ahhhhh...questions, questions and more questions...

..Now if I had the same amount of questions to ask about Chelmsford, there would either be further questions about my support to Billericay Town or about my paranoia...

...and isn't it far to early in the game to be paranoid? Or is it that there is support for our little ol' club growing in the hearts of minds of some Clarets...perish the thought...they're all of one mind and one heart... laugh

As for Steve Heffer extending his contract...great news for the club. Again, the club and the players show what it is to be loyal and consistant!!!

Great news about Heffer (and Leon and Dorms too)

All three are influential players for us and form an experienced triangle. I think it's been proved over time that evolution rather than revolution is the best way forward so I hope we can keep the bulk of last seasons squad with maybe two or three additions.

Good news re Heffer staying, thought he had an excellent first season for us.

Agree with TC re Nathan being harder to replace, particularly mid-season. There's very few players with his attributes (pace, power, physical presence) around.

There always has to be a balance in the summer, between maintaining continuity and stability; and bringing in new faces to freshen things up.

Thanks Adrian,

We always take you lot seriously when it comes to football.
Do you still have meetings with our Village friend Mr B? I saw his car there the other weekend and I doubt he was getting his nails done.
