Whilst not having seen the Thanet Times, from what I read here Charlie Mitten won't be with us 2007/8 (amongst others). I will be sorry to see him go - having been in and out of the side this last season his attitude, at least from this spectator's point of view has been first class. He has turned in some great performances and I for one won't forget the save against Billericay. Good luck to Charlie and the others that we will not be seeing in Margate shirts.

 

I mention Jimmy Briscoe at the head of this - did anyone see his photo in NLP this week? A great stalwart of Margate and Ramsgate sides in the 1940's/50's and now of Stevenage it was good to see his picture once again. According to the NLP he has not been in the best of health so good luck to you Jim and thanks for the Margate (& Ramsgate) memories.
