Shrewsbury play-off game??

Just thinking of the top of my head (and it may be utter rubbish) but anyone going to this game?

Just thinking that there may be the opportuinity to get some stuff for the club shop - ie the giant flags & funny hats that they sell outside Wembley (as Shrewsbury play in the same colours as us).

Could well be a good seller and would look good with our support. Although they may be wearing red due to colour clashing with Bristol Rovers, but just a thought...

I may be wrong, but I think selling anything of any type has been banned from outside Wembley. Thats the impression I got when i was there for the under 21s, might have changed for the FA cup final.

Yep Tom, I was at the U21 game as well, but I don't think selling was banned. There was just nothing open down Wembley way (from the train station). They were not even selling programmes like they normally do. I just think it was like that due to it not being an 'official game' and a 'testing game' - could be wrong thou!

Went to the Trophy final last week and there was no one selling anthing outide of the stadium. I think it is a ploy to get you to spend more in the ground.

Also interesting to see that they have posters besides every turnstile saying no flags, air horns and the such like but there were loads of airhorns taken into the ground and they sell the flags in the stadium kiosks.

shrewsbury play in amber and royal blue,am i right in thinking that stfc played in royal blue instead of navy in the seventies i only say this because i remember in the seventies when i was little buying a bar scarf from a sports shop opposite sterling estate agents (not there anymore, its been knocked down)in royal blue and amber, nicer than the navy, any chance slough might have a change of blue especially as we could buy our merchandise from shrewsbury town,

also does anyone know if stfc are keeping the same shirt for the coming season.

An eighteen month deal was signed with Lakes for the shirt sponsorship, so the same home shirt will definitely be in use next season. There is talk of a new away shirt which will be the same design as the home one, just with white instead of Amber.

The away kit will be worn at every available opportunity next season, unlike previous seasons where it has only had an outing when there has been a colour clash.

Whys the sudden change of heart, unless we have a new away kit sponsor?

It should have been done for many seasons prior to the coming one, but the kit is about five years old now and falling apart. Should we get sponsor money in for the away kit which is being arranged by Paul L I understand, then the new away kit will be sorted out.
