Goodbye Yeading.

Recommended Posts

Yeading are no more so it seems. They've merged with Hayes as Hayes and Yeading FC subject to ratification from the FA.

They'll be playing their home games at Hayes' Church Road ground so no more visits to the hellhole that is Yeading.

Obviously the merger frees up a place for another club in Conference South so I imagine Weston Super Mare will probably not be relegated.

With no Hayes v Yeading Christmas derby, it could be us going to Hayes in the festive season. Expect Church Road to be sold once the new road is built next to Yeading's ground. Hayes Stadium just up the road is already being built on, so the council can't say no. Hayes wanted to go to Minet Park a few years ago, which is right next to the Yeading ground.

Yeading's ground will still be used but only for reserve and youth cup matches so hopefully you'll never have to pay that place a visit again.

Quite like the bar at Hayes but the ground and surrounding area are pretty grim.

I'll be in Deutschland this weekend and away on holiday all of next week so won't be able to keep up with the latest developments unless I can obtain a copy of the Non League Paper in Berlin!!
