Warlingham drew 2-2 at Coney Hall last night, therefore they cannot now finish in the top 3

Horley Town will be the only side promoted !!!!!

Coney Hall have applied for the Kent County League (one step under the Kent League) next season. One less in the CCL Div 1

And a little birdy told me today that an official announcement was made this afternoon regarding CCL Division One, but then again, according to some posters, I know nothing.

.... and I never realised that mobile phone calls could reach Surrey from Manchester !

I was very reliably told that a fax/e-mail had been sent to all club secs in the CCL, on the afternoon of 24th, out-lining the set-up of Division One for the coming season.

Heresay, I have to admit, but my source, like H.P. is usually pretty good !

Not being an official of the club, the information was not passed to me.

Only that DFC had received an up-date.

As I understand it DFC will have to prove to CCL that they have a lease for the whole season. They currently have no manager, no groundsman, no or very few unpaid staff. oh and lest I forget no players. Some of the above could pose a problem. best Junior either gets his finger out or just gets out.

it just gets more gloomy.

Is June 1st when all the player registrations run out?

So really any club without a manager now runs the risk of losing its current players and only getting the leftovers (apologies to those players concerned - you are all better than I was!)

And thats about half the clubs?

There will be very few contracted players in the CCL. All non contract players are registered until 31st May. From 1st June they all become free agents and then until they sign league forms with their 07/08 clubs they can talk and join who they like.

thanks Krooner

Im trying to work out the timescale!

So most players would wait until the Leagues divisional setup is agreed on 21st June, see who is managing where and then start thinking about where they might play?

The league starts Mid August (or it did last year).

So clubs are sorting out their playing staff end June beginning July for a preseason ( am I being naive?) Mid July?

Pre season tendts to start towards the end of June. Players will go from club to club trying each out. You will get a few players from the previous season signing on early but most will wait until 2 to 3 weeks before the season.
