So farewell, Paul Bastock......

... who has been released, I hear.

I seem to recall that he was Colin's first signing, on a Tuesday evening at Hornchurch if I remember. He reached 'True Saint' status in pretty quick time, and a really nice guy. Good luck to him, from me.

He will do well at his new club too, no doubt.

That would be the 1-1 draw. I'm sure a friend of mine who occasionally visits this board will remember the game too.

Anyway, best wishes to Bazza. As you say he was a true saint.

Any word on where he has gone?

There was some suggestion that he wanted to move closer to home.

Someone who we could make a move for is Derek Stillie who has just been released by Dundee United as he is off to London to do a law degree but says he would love to still play part time.

There ya go Mr Hanlon.

Are you sure? A jock goalkeeper? wink

Seriously, is he any good? I see he kept a clean sheet yesterday against Motherwell.

He is more than adequate, he has spent several seasons in the Scottish Premier with both Dunfermline and Dundee United (where he played pretty much every game during the lst two seasons). I've seen him play about a dozen times and only seen him concede more than one goal on one occasion when Dundee United got beaten 3-0 by Hearts when they were decent. He isn't the tallest but would do us a decent job should the powers that be actually want to assemble a squad that will challenge for the Conference South title next season.
