Prem boy - Div 1 Boy...Nah I don't get it! I'm thinking Bookham for some reason...Our under 16 manager is called Chris Evans (no...just no) and our under 18 manager is called Clive Gartell. The under 16's have just won the league! Differences between the Ryman and the CCL? Facilities, attendances and distance! Playing-wise, the fitness levels.

Hi Gee. I remember Andy Parkinson well. Back in 2001, my club Croydon were playing in the Ryman Premier, and had reached the semi-finals of the Isthmian League Cup. At that point, the first team keeper left, and the replacement was cup-tied, so we were forced to play our youth team keeper in the semi-final against Hampton. Step up one Andy Parkinson!

He had a cracking game and helped us through to the final. We managed to keep it fairly low-key, so Hamptons supporters were fairly gobsmacked afterwards to find out they had been denied by our youth team keeper on debut!

Andy's second game for us was the League Cup Final against Heybridge. He acquitted himself pretty well in that as well, although we lost 3-0.

Unfortunately, he was limited to an handful of appearances after that due to university and cricket commitments, before moving on.

I think, if he's the same guy (would be about 30 now?), Martin Beard also played a handful of games for us in the mid-90's
