Hi All !

 

Just a quickly, but i'm in a middle of designing my own Gravesend web page, and would appreciate if anyone would like to help (match reports, photos, etc) or if you have any ideas what to include on the site.

I already have a live chatroom planned so supports can talk live to each other over the net.

Well David does run the official website where the picture came from. So your saying if you'd copyrighted something and someone used it you'd just let it happen? I think not

Looks good to me. Shame it has to come to this though. However, quite a few clubs have "unofficial" web sites which are far more popular than the so called official ones. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I would love there to be unofficial websites, but they need to be original and not just cut and pastes from the official site.

 

If he wants to use some of the photos from the site then that's OK, but the correct way to do it is to ask and then acknowledge the original copyright. So far I have never refused to allow the use of NOTN material when asked.

No the club has that copyright and that should be acknowledged as well.

Oh dear Mr Holden am I another one guilty of offending you? I am actually very much aware of who holds copyright as you probably know.

Also as you've read my profile you'll know I'm a social worker not a lawyer which is why I know my Human Rights.

See, your're doing it again! Full of your own self importance. If you really were offering advice regarding copyright when setting up a new site you could have done it privately and not on the forum. Don't bother posting further as I shall not dignify it with a reply.

If the post had been from a registered user then I could have sent a private message but it wasn't so I couldn't. I tried the email address on the site But that didn't work, so this was the only way.

I have worked to sodding hard on the web-site to let anybody just come in and copy it and then claim it as their own and if that is being full of my own importance then guilty as charged.

I have often asked for anyone who wants to get involved in websites to come and help me with the official site, but I am still waiting for any positive response, so while I am doing it all myself then I will protect my work, and if you don't like that then tough, it's not going to lose me any sleep.

However i attend to use all my own material or material from other fans.

I only posted the address so other people can get a better idea of what the web site will look like and give them a better idea if anyone would like to help.

Lets be honest the official site is terrible !!!

For social worker I always interpreted do-gooder.
It's the human rights act that has helped to get this country into such a mess.

Also, in my experience those that harp on about their human rights tend to be looking to blame others for every little problem in their lives.
