New manager: Announcement tomorrow?

According to the Official web-site, following interviews with various applicants, it is expected that an appointment will be announced tomorrow.

 

I suspect that Paul Jewell's resignation from Wigan earlier today is no more than a co-incidence, but you never know.

It definitely won’t be George Borg for the Saints. After speculation about Borg for the AFC Wimbledon job he confirmed he will be staying with Braintree Town next season.

I still think Dean Austin is the best candidate. He has experience at Conference South level, he's a City old boy and, I believe, he's local.

I expect that the Media & Telecommunications Division of the club is waiting for the world's press to gather on the manicured lawns in front of the playground at t'Park before releasing the puff of white smoke to indicate that a decision has been reached.

 

When Reuters, CNN, Sky and Setanta are heading in from the troublespots of the globe, it wouldn't do to spoil the story with a premature announcement on the web-site.

 

Presumably, they are preparing those board things that football people are photographed beside. Waiting for delivery of a new club tie for the guy. Or gel, come to that, I suppose. It all takes time.

 

It will be tomorrow, I should think.
