Not so sure you've interpereted Pitsea Petes initial post correctly Mr Pharmacist. I took it that he was suggesting that COL would have been updated far quicker if Chelmo had won the play-off semi; and that the reason it wasn't was because they were still sulking.

I tend to agree that the site is not a bad idea that's failed somewhat in execution. Some of the attempted humour reminds me of a student "Rag Mag"; not very funny to anyone other than the writers.

Think you're right Dick. Not sure about "sulking" though? More like gutted, p*ssed off whatever (we all know the feeling, impossible to put into words) and not wanting to think about too much anything football. Can't really see the Clarets Online creators 'brooding sullenly', moping around muttering "bloody Billericay" (or maybe?). As far as the site goes, bit of a curate's egg. The match footage is good (when it's updated!). Tend to agree about the humour. Still, it's easy to scoff at the efforts of others.

Looks like there's been a recent up-date and they've removed the "Local Rivals" section which contained the dubious humour I reffered to. Maybe they took the hint smile

spot on RTD. I see on the bbc essex website there serial blogger has purposly ommited any reference to the 3 games between our clubs in which they failed to beat us! what a joke they are!

If you go to their sport site they do make a mention of us beating them in a non league round up article

Chelmsford City, rightly labelled as early season favourites for the Ryman Premier Division title thanks to the arrival of Jeff King, his cash and half of his Canvey Island squad

At least they can acknowledge Chelmsfords cash rich position unlike most of their supporters

shame about bbc essex totally dissproportionate coverage to c'c'fc though

Never understand this big up thing about forums being busy. Just keeps making me think of playground days when you had those spoilt little jack russels saying "My dads got a bigger car than you" -

At the end of the day it is all about how much noise you make on the terrace that counts eh BC?! wink

Personally, I'm making a big effort not to waste too much time on ANY forum through the summer! Far more interesting things going on in the real world. Looking forward to a few decent friendlies in the summer sunshine as well.

How's Chelmo's pre-season shaping up BC/LF? Anything firmed up yet?

BC. I guess that's one other advantage of moving players up the pyramid!
