Is that all you can keep saying, that's about your third or fourth post that says that. Anyway we'll see what happens next month if they have indeed applied to join the SSML, Jayjay said earlier on this thread that they are seeking to join the CCL so they are possibly making a two, or even a three, pronged attack in order to get into a higher level.

I really can't see why you, of all people object to an emerging club trying to improve itself! And don't play the "groundsharing" card - I personally don't agree with a club being allowed to climb the pyramid by moving in with someone else, but that's just my view.

I applaud your move to Coptall if you can make it work, as you will presumably be the only soccer club playing there. With a published capacity of 9,995, can't see that you need to be all ticket against Haringey though!

Horace - That was a good post rather than just saying 'pot kettle' all the time. As for the Kentish Town v Haringey game being made all ticket next season this is for a number of reasons including on local police advice, if Cockfosters aren't promoted, which I have a sneaky suspicion they won't be, then that game will be all ticket too.

I remember our 'all ticket' games (Wigan, Port Vale & Northampton) in our cup runs. I wasnt a season ticket holder at that time and had to take a day off work and QUEUE for my bloody ticket!! Used to have the press and TV cameras down there filming us (I was famous - interviewed for telly in my Canvey shirt).

Will it be the same sort of thing there????

You ARE joking, aren't you? Even if the combined following of the two clubs was trebled, you still wouldn't get 100!

Once again, you have felt compelled to throw in some "sour grapes" about Cockfosters. Under the existing requirements for promotion to the Premier Division, the Management Committee have no option than to approve Cockfosters promotion. The problem will come in the following season, when Chalk Lane will not be up to the, then, required standards. But then they can groundshare somewhere, can't they?

Paula - Wasn't your FA Cup game with Southend all ticket too. Horace - I am not having a dig at Cockfosters as you are suggesting, I hope they do get promotion as they worked hard for it this season however I just have a sneaky suspicion that they won't that's all.

Having spoken to an SSML Management Committeee member on the way to Wembley this afternoon, I see no reason why Cockfosters shouldn't be promoted.

In the last minutes several of the reserve sides from that league have applied to join us - Brache, Cranfield, Kent Ath, Crawley Green, The 61 FC, Bedford Town and maybe Langford. With London Colney & Cockfosters Res both finishing in promotion positions in Res Div Two, it could be a bit full in Res Div One.

Plus, Kings Langley may have floodlights so could be eligible for promotion to Div One.

I thought that a lot of the teams would join the SSML Reserve League (AFC Dunstable & Totternhoe both did last season) and wondered whether Bedford would compete in Division 2 like Dunstable Town Reserves did a few years ago but by the sounds of it they will go straight into Div 1 then.

Interesting about Kings Langley, I am informed that they are the best team we have faced this season so if they get floodlights then good luck to them.

That's where Dunstable Town Res went. Chalfont & Ruislip Res play there as well.

In the Minutes it said Langford would join if the league was regionalised, so we could end up with Res Div One north & south. Aylesbury Vale also applied to join - don't know where (or if) they played last season.

Dunstable Town Reserves is a complicted one, they (Dunstable) always referred to Dunstable Town 98 (the "reserve" side in the SSML) as a rogue team and they were disbanded with a new reserve team entering the Suburban League, or at least that is my understanding of it.

Aylesbury Vale's reserves play in the Aylesbury & District Premier Division. If they do regionalise Reserve Division One then that would get around any problems of too many teams wanting to enter.
