Hornchurch ??

There seems to be some speculation about they "may" not be allowed to participate in the Ryman Prem due to a ground sharing situation with Romford and the associated athletics club. Would be surprised if this were to happen.

Did Hx allow the share or was it made by the local the council keith?

I'd be very surprised if Hx weren't allowed in......Mind you I was even more surprised when AFCW got their points back......

Do not know TC, but would hazard a guess it is the local council. If so, then they would not be popular! Personally i hope it is sorted ok for the urchins.

from what i understand the council want us to ground share with romford.Hornchurch are not in favour of this for various reasons.

The ryman league do not want 3 sporting clubs in the same stadium and for one i do not blame them.(there is an athletics club there as well)

If the council insist on romford playing at the stadium hornchurch will allegedly have to go back to the ESL as ryman league does not permit a 3 way share.

Romford want to move into bridge avenue because it is ryman graded but what is the point if neither of us can play in the ryman league because of the 3 way share.

In my opinion romford have a grudge against hornchurch because we are now the prominent side in the borough and romford can not let go of the past,this is at least ho it looks to your average hornchurch fan

and romford have the option of playing at fords where they have played for the last few seasons.I just think they are being awwkward.The whole problem is the local council who will not give romford land for a ground.

They have till end of may to let fords know if they will be playing there.I think they are just testing the water and trying to get something out of afc hornchurch.It is the councils ground but we have been there for many many years and the ground romford have at the moment is nearer to romford than we are.

I think that could be the saving grace. That would mean (hazard a guess) less income for the council which i would not think they would want. Good luck.

It's always these little legal things that come along and gives everyone a "pinch"...Wouldn't like be so much easier without them...but so much more boring...
