Silverware at last! Hertford won the South Midlands Floodlit Cup Reserve Section final tonight with a goal 5 minutes from time!

Mark Draper scored the goal. They have all done well this year, as their 2nd place in the league shows.

Well done to the ressies last night...was difficult conditions with the hard ground and the pouring rain...thankfully Mark Draper popped up at the end with a goal to save us all from having to stand in the rain for an extra 30mins...One bright spot was the appearence of Cockfosters saviour and newly installed leggend David Criag who had to escape autograph hunters and groupies by hiding under an umbrella the other side of the pitch !

HTFC1. We all went to rattlers after and had a few beers. Wadey was in there and who turned up, the fella he wound up and got sent off!! was well funny.

na, a few dirty looks were shared and that was it! u would have been in stitches if u had seen wadeys face wen he walked in!

hee hee...not so lary off the pitch is he !...fair do's to the fella who got sent off though, when asked wot happened in the bar he said 'he wound me up and i had a bite up!'

I'll just highlight the bits I disagree with....

 

It is a pity that some referees do not see the red card incident that provokes retaliation. Late tackle on a slippery pitch .. yellow card

 

Close to the end Danny Curbelo was blatantly mauled in the box Must've been a different game!

 

On the other hand a bad decision went against us 5 mins later when our hosts got a free kick to the right of our box. Blatent free kick

 

But I would say Cockfoster did do themselves proud and the 10 men worked extremely hard and didn't stop. Some good youngsters that Craigy will probably have to be considering for first team duty soon.
