Soccer: Injury boost lifts Billericay hopes

Billericay Town have the massive boost of central defender Ollie Adedeji's return for tomorrow's Ryman Premier trip to Chesham.

Ex-Aldershot star Adedeji, a massive influence at the back for the New Lodge club since joining Town at the start of October from neighbours Canvey Island, has been out of action since the final game of 2002 with a knee ligament problem.

After last night's training session manager Gary Calder said: "Ollie's trained tonight and, providing there's no reaction, will be very much involved on Saturday."

Without a game for nearly two weeks, Billericay have at least seen first choice goalkeeper Jerome John and striker Andy Douglas return to fitness.

And a full-strength squad is essential as a hectic run-in beckons.

For two or three spells of lengthy inaction, mainly caused by the weather, have left them with 20 League games still to go with only 11 weeks of the season remaining.
