And of course, now we can add to that the coming phenomenon of Ebbsfleet United (aka Gravesend & Northfleet) who look set to take over Grays' former status as the moneybags club of this league.

 

As you probably know, they changed their name to take advantage of the potential benefits of stronger links with the community of Ebbsfleet, which due to it's location as a forthcoming gateway for the Channel Tunnel Rail link, is due to expand massively both in terms of population and as a commercial centre.

 

A fellow Grecian who has close contacts with a number of clubs in that area has told us that in the near future, Eurotunnel and Ebbsfleet United will be announcing one of the biggest sponsorship deals ever made in the lower leagues, with all that entails for their playing budget.

 

I think it might be harder to win the league than you think. I hope to God we don't have to find out.

Truely amazing story. Understand Eurotunnel have debts in excess £6.2 billion. I am sure someone will correct me if that is indeed not the case and I apologise sincerely if they are in fact swimming in money.

Perhaps the guy got it wrong, and meant Eurostar which is separate, and not a part of Eurotunnel.
