In Bracknell News, new Bracknell Town manager, Jon Underwood has said that Sparky will still be there next season! Hopefully he's wrong!!

 

Management looks as if it will be the same three next season, Browning, Stairs and Aktin. Which I'm happy with. We were just unlucky with injurues thiseason.

Aparently there are around 12 players they are interested in.

 

News flying around that are quick winger, Jack Dillon, will be moving on! Shame, quality player. Other than that I can't think of anything else to tell you!

another week and we wait for the official club announcement to reassure us. I hope it says something like "DFC can confirm we will be playing in the CCL prem next season and are fully focused on putting in place a management team and supporting them fully in preparing a squad capable of competing in the top end of the league etc etc

 

Til then I've been wondering why bjr doesnt seem as worried as me about next season.

 

He got very angry when APM appeared on the horizon, had a bit of a rant on here about why didnt APM come and seek him out, demanded his presence at the next girls friendly etc . A bit out of character for him some said.

 

So forgive me if im wrong bjr, but I dont think you are too worried about what level the first team play next season, or if DFC have a lease or are just fighting MVDC to stay there.

 

I think as long as the girls and ladies teams have a base there and can continue as now youll be happy.

 

there will be a first team I guess, in some league, so the bar will be open and there will be some football to watch.

However this thread is getting monotonous however one thing strikes me regarding The ex- Guildford chairman having big plans for Dorking. I jusy hope they work out better than his big plans for Guildford. Hell of a track record there!

 

By the way Teffers, a clue On Sunday I may be found putting the willow to the leather. Keep guessing.

Another "alls well lads dont know what they mean" message from BJR. To clarify now you have to register to even read the messages.

Before you had to register to post.

so you fill out your registration form

your application is then vetted.

 

the message appears "Currently your account is waiting for approval from a staff member. Once an administrator has approved your account you will get access to this forum."

im sure whoever is doing the admin is acting "in the best interests of the shareholders of Dorking Football club limited"

 

They are working very hard I cant fault them for that!

banning people from the forum, deleting threads, monitoring new users, I wonder why?

Unless there is a fault on the DFC website I am now "forbidden" to view even the first page of the website since my application last night.

 

Its a pity that such hard work and diligence wasnt put in to the clubs commercial and administrative activities over the last year or so

 

Then DFC may have avoided the six point penalty from the league.

They might have had time to address the issues that led to the MDVC deciding to take action against them.

They might have been able to improve the cash flow by invoicing programme advertisers and pitchside banner holders.

They might not have got late registering the accounts

If the club (or company) is in as much trouble as has been alleged, I think it would be better to ask for help from all of those parties keen to see a future for senior football in Dorking rather than discarding and alienating them.
