Another cup competition next season

I have heard that there may be another cup to play for next season: the Conference Cup (or Blue Square Cup...whatever). Does anyone know for sure if this is true.

 

If it is, I think we can go for the quadruple next season: FA Trophy, Blue Square Premier League, Kent Senior Cup and the new Conference Cup.

Yes we will.

 

This is the rejuvenated Conference Cup from a few years ago.

 

We lost in the Competition that season 1-0 to Stevenage although the ball clearly wasn't over the line.

 

This game was Andy Ford's last at the club. He resigned later that evening.

I actually remember going to that game, attendance was something like 150, the drum was up the swanscombe end, and it was 'kin freezing that night.

 

I take it this competition will involve those clubs from the Conference North and South, as well as Conference National?

Nope, it will involve clubs from the Conference North and South as well as reserve teams from clubs in the Conference National.

Yep! That's about right, Slarti. Never the most popular competition, especially when there was only the single Conference League. Still not a lot of interest more recently, when it was reintroduced for a single season in 2004/2005, as the Gladwish Land Sale (GLS) Cup.

Nope, it will involve clubs from the Conference North and South as well as reserve teams from clubs in the Conference National.

Actually there won't be any conference sides at all.

One or two from the various Blue Sqare leagues may participate
