Perhaps this was what Wilko was looking at?

Some of you may have noticed in the local press recently that Wilko was apparently in talks with some Conference players, provided he is given a budget to work with.

Having spotted this earlier - perhaps he was looking at some of these?

(from nonleaguedaily.com)

St Albans City are still no nearer finding a new manager and look set to be hit by a mini-player exodus following relegation from the Nationwide Conference National.

With chairman John Gibson claiming he "has no idea" when the replacement for the outgoing Colin Lippiatt will be unveiled, two of the club's nine contracted players, Tom Davis and Paul Bastock (pictured), have slapped in transfer requests.

Gary Elphick, meanwhile, has been on trial at Coca-Cola League Two side Bristol Rovers and clearly feels his future lies away from Clarence Park.

Others, particularly the club's non-contracted players, could follow suit as they will not want to go into the break with their futures undecided.

"I was hoping to get the new manager in place before the end of the season but that hasn't happened," said Gibson.

"We have spoken to Nick Roddis and Dean Austin but we are now looking elsewhere. We've got no problem selling the club to managers - in fact we've had a lot of big names crop up."

The new manager will have to work within the confines of a dramatically reduced budget - two thirds of which is already taken up by the wages of the club's contracted players.

Lippiatt's replacement is also likely to have the club's management team imposed upon him, rather than being able to choose his own staff.
