Recommended Posts

The end of our 9 month stay in the SSML tonight, when we play the SSML Challenge Trophy Final at Tring. Its been a great season, I have met some nice people and the club have been very well looked after on all our travels.

All thats left to be said is

BRING ON THE TREBLE!!!

Edgware win again - think it was 3-1 although I might have missed a goal doing the bar or trying to find a ball !!

Quite an open game & on reflection probably the right result. Edgware 1-0 up inside the first minute & Stony brought it level before ET nicked one before half time. The third came midway through the second half to give a little breathing space.

Stony didn't give up but Edgware just had that little bit extra.

Richard Morton headed his 40th goal of the season 27 seconds from the kick off after being set up by Gavin Hart. Marc Redsull equalised on 16 minutes after the Wares failed to clear their lines and he latched on to the loose ball. Adam Wallace scored a storming goal 5 minutes from half time and Gavin Hart put the game out of sight with Edgwares 3rd 12 minutes from the end. The game was spoilt by some appaling decisions by referee Mr Scott, sending Del Deanus from the Wares dugout after he loudly remonstrated with the referee for missing a blatant hand ball in the area. Then sending off Darren Dykes with a straight red after a vicious sliding tackle.

The match was recorded and a DVD of the game will be available shortly, which could prove very interesting!

The Champions won the treble whilsst never getting out of second gear. Fair play to SST, who gave us a harder fort contest then expected, and never really tired. We had more up front then them and that was the difference on the night.

Morton, Wallace and a superb Gavin Hart goal sealed the victory and with it an histroic treble!
