league cup final latest score

All the way to pens. Brentwood won in sudden death. Don't know the name of the player who scored the winner but his goal celebration to to call everyone behind the goal c**ts. Classy!

Despite that, and the dire refereeing, a great game of football.

You forgot to add that Romford played for half the second period and all the extra time with ten men as Paul Clayton was unfairly double yellow carded by the previously mention dire referee and that Br ntwood scored first after a goalless first half and the Boro equalised while down to ten men through a Petrit Elbi special from outside the area which left Hardingham grasping at thin air.

In my view also Romford shaded the latter part of normal time and all of full time and were unlucky not to win before the penalties took place.

Well done the Boro. You have given this old supporter a thoroughly enjoyable season and I can't wait for you to build on it in 2007/8.

Uuuuuuuuuuup the Boro! bow

Romford for the treble next year.Playing at the Bridge will galvanize them.I can see crowds over 400-500 next year, including Urchins double season ticket holders.

well I was actually paying you a compliment and not taking the pi55 but of course all the innovation in the world will not make a horse drink even after its been led to water...horses tend to be stuck in their old ways...

brentwood have done well this season after taking a leaf out of the urchin book and having the courage to go for it and hopefully will do well next season...all clubs that want to be successful sooner or later have to go for it.....there is no easy way on someone else's back I'm afraid to say...

I rarely go down the 'blame the ref lane', but today he was poor at best - and some of his decisions against both sides was baffling to say the least.

It was a case of 'look at me I am in charge of cup final'.

As for the game, well Neil Finn kept us in it during the first half, with two or three excellent saves.

The second half was a tale of two excellent goals and then Danny Downer almost snatched it at the death.

I thought Ricky Mackin was superb for us and was only subbed, I presume, for tactical reasons.

In the end it was down to pens, sorry Andy Ox, not the worst pen I have ever seen but comes pretty damn close.

Everyone's fave Cowley N, got a second bite then came that Ronaldo moment, when Golby, of all people doh , sealed it for Brntwood.

Well done to them in front of a superb crowd of just under 550.

It's been a great ride this season and let's have some more of it next year, hopefully at New Brooklands...

Enjoyed my afternoon Coupe and good to see you mate. That was a fair summing up of the game but there was only one class player on view, Nicky C, way above the rest. Two quality goals and an array of pen misses extraordinaire.

Thanks also to the 'side personnel, Mr and Mrs T, KA and Ang who worked tirelessly, always a great welcome and appreciated.

Good to see you Rob E as well and a nice little chat about the "grass roots" as we mentioned.

Good luck to all my ESL friends and a winner from me ol' mate Deadbeat, well still with a big spring in his heels.

cheers

Yeah, you too Max and good to see Kel as well. Cowley N was class indeed. Great day out but losing by the D/L method is hard to take. Still, we took them all the way and they should be proud of what they have achieved this season...
