Change of name for Brook House

May 2 2007

Brook House are changing their name in a bid to take the next step up the non-league ladder.

The Farm Park club, who play in the British Gas Business League Division One South & West will be known as AFC Hayes from the start of next season.

The switch has been approved by the Middlesex FA and the new name has helped the club clinch a five-figure sponsorship deal with Colour-match Print Management for next season.

Club general secretary Vic Kirkby said of the name change: "We felt we can get a higher profile in the area and therefore stand a better chance of getting sponsorship in the area and it may also help the management team to perhaps draw in a better quality player."

Brook started as a junior team in 1975 and have rapidly risen through the ranks to their current status in the British Gas Business League.
