Congratulations to Chipstead on gaining promotion. Well done to those teams that avoided the dreaded drop.

 

With all the teams coming into the ccl prem this year i feel its been the toughest season for a while. Even the lesser teams in the ccl never ever just gave away their 3 points and always fought to the very end. The days of the Cranleigh's have now gone. Although Chipstead were worthy winners in the end, even with there late season stutter, i think there will be teams kicking themselves they let themselves down at times. Wembley in my opinion were the best footballing team but slipped up too many times to lesser teams. Losing to Bookham for example. Who would have predicted that? Merstham dropped points at vital times and came so close to being promoted for the 2nd season running. Ash drew 5 of their 1st 6 games and took only 1 point off Cove. This definitely cost Ash a true shot at the league title.

If Godalming come down then i think the league next season will be dominated by them, Ash, Merstham and Wembley.

 

Well done to everyone this year and i hope to see you all again next season.

Johnnos season will come round very quickly... next week - presentation evening - then Prague (my stag doo) - then Blackpool (ash tour) - then Wedding - then pre-season training.
