The play-off final for the Conf South is at Stevenage next Saturday between Braintree and Salisbury.

Thought the final was on Sunday? Would go to the final but busy that day.

 

Went to Braintree v Havant today. Good game and four well taken penalties by Braintree. Neither side looked fantastic but both worked hard and played some good football at times.

 

I think Braintree would struggle if they went up whilst Havant from a St Albans point of view for next season looked very beatable.

 

Not sure what the crowd was today. Probably just over 1,000 which included a certain Lee Boylan.

Yellow, you're right our Promotion Final is on the Sunday, 13th May, with kick-off at 4.45pm. Our crowd was 1539 yesterday.

 

Agree with you that we would need to strengthen in certain areas if the unthinkable was to happen.

Yep, they're the 'big club' up t'road, but we were pleased with the gate.

 

Let's hope we can take as many to Stevenage.

How's about a pre-season friendly vs. your old friends from Enfield Town before your season in the Conference? George Borg will be made very welcome at Goldsdown Road too!

Not too sure who i'd want us to play out of these two next season. On one hand we could have a great day out at a historic city with a cathedral. On the other we could go to a new town in Essex and shout 'Sit Down Borg'.

Gutted, but thought we did well enough to have got something out of the game. But, hey, every cloud has a silver lining - I'll be able to visit old friends at Clarence Park next season!

The programme on the build up to the play-off finals on Setanta was quite good.

 

Braintree had a couple of good chances but I thought Salisbury looked the better side. Still don't give them much hope in the conference.
