BTW Clive your ego is the one thats driving people away ..with all your drivel and no action.....

I Have to get votes to be elected and have to take it on the chin..while you can throw all what you think and never ever have to do anything except critise and add your opinion..on a web site... I have been secretary of the SA and the trust for 27years ... If I was not good enough surley I would still not be here...

Having Received a Bronze Medallion Recongnized by The FSA and The national Federation Of supporters clubs for devotion and hard work..for my Club... I don't nor never put myself before my club..never have done and never will....so my ego never gets in my way...unlike you own...get a life...and enjoy what ever you will do on a saturday afternoon...

GOOD BYE....

here we go again...we finish the season on such a high note, with people praising the attitude of our fans through a relegation season, and now this happens.

why do we need to put up a candidate for election? we got what we needed, slough town fc on the local news, and promises of help. if it doesnt come, we have the backing to keep pushing those who break the promises.

i am a trust member, and i agree with the decision that was taken, although i would have been one of those to agree to putting up a candidate.

those who dont wish to join the trust should have nothing to do with it. those who are should either agree with the decision the board has taken, or stand for election to the board.

stop with all the arguing, its getting pathetic!!

FYI - Yesterday at the Fun day , Shaun Wright spoke at length to me and he and the BILLD group, will ensure that they will try to help the Club move forward and find a new home in Slough, so all in all we are taking some steps forward...hope now everyone in Slough's town hall, understand and know where the STST is coming from...This should not be political and we are only here to ensure our town has a community stadium and a home for the towns football club...

Lets see what happens in the next 12 months ...

Have just seen Councillor Stoke's letter in the express letters section from Friday...'Happy to help' (re: Roy's open letter to all parties the previous week).

Let's just hope he goes through with this promise to meet the club now that the elections are over.

'HAPPY TO HELP

I would like to thank Roy Merryweather, general manager of Slough Town Football club, for his letter published in these pages last week.

For some months now, this administration has been working with Slough Town FC in order to assist the club with its search for a new home within the town.

The dialogue that we have started has been constructive and informative.

We have told the football club about the types of assistance that Slough Borough Council is about to provide and have indicated our willingness to do so.

We would be happy to continue this dialogue with members of Slough Borough Council's Labour group, where hopefully the issue of the football club can be depoliticised and a concerted effort made by all groups to assist Slough Town FC to find a lasting solution to its current problems.

We therefore accept Roy's invitation to meet again following this week's borough elections and will be in touch quickly to make the necessary arrangements.

Cllr Richard Stokes

Leader of Slough Borough Council'
