Sounds great, I'm looking forward to it and I'll ask 'the great one' if he fancies tagging along, Paul Merson and Les Ferdinand would no doubt jump at the chance of meeting him in the bar afterwards.

Gavin - Yes fine, unless you want me to put it on us winning the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki next Saturday, my bookie mate is offering 4/1 and it's a nailed on bet. Incidentally I asked 'the great one' if he fancied it and it looks like he'll be coming down, don't forget your camera and autograph book, I'll have a bunch of photographs with me that he can sign with personal messages and hand out on the day.

I think I will pass on the bet for the eurovision lol. If I give you the tenner you can give me the £60 right? and I can spend it in the bar, as I will have a number of friends coming down to watch the matches and to celebrate my birthday in the evening.

Looking forward to meeting you Rhodes smile

Gavin - Okay fine but you're kissing goodbye to £240. Yes it will be good to meet you at last, mine's a pint of Stella.

Gav... little word of advice, when you win a bet at the bookies you get the stake money back as well so no need to give Rhodes the £10!!

True, but I never acutually 'staked' the money ie gave Rhodes the £10 to give to his bookie pal. That is why I assume that Rhodes would give me £60 rather then £70, as the odds were 6/1

You bet £10 at 6-1 so the total that should end up in your pocket is £70 .. your original £10 plus the £60 Rhodes will give you.

A great day and Richard Morton made a clean sweep of the awards Top Goalscorer (40 from midfield), Players Player, Supporters Player and one of the managers Player. Adam Wallace won the other Managers Player.

Night ended about 1.30am and a lot of money raised for Macmillan Cancer Support. Well done all, now bring on next season!!

Of course Gavin will get his money and he knows it, I'm as honest as the day is long.

Rhodes did NOT show, so I doubt I will get to see the £60 now, not that I was holding my breath about getting it anyway.

Rhodes, how do you intend to give me the cash if we have nevert met and by the looks of it, never will?
