The official stupidest idea of the season thread..

Recommended Posts

Some members of the True Blues drinking team were chatting about the game on saturday, and the unsayable were said.. "Where were YOU when Billericay made the promotion"..

/silence/

A long story short, 2 late bookings for Stansted was made 10 minutes ago, so Oy and me will hopefully attend the game on saturday. We will arrive on Stansted 10:40 sat, no idea on how to get to Bromley (wherever that is).

We do have in mind Hitchin away some seasons ago, 4 of us came over for the game, and is was postponed due to water on the pitch. And last April when Ryanair cancelled our flight and we had to do Sweden and Denmark by ferries just to compensate..

But this time..

Mr Chairman, please reserve two tickets..

Our December visit gave 2 x 3-0 victories, we'll be there to secure the win.

C'mon Ricay!

Lars

Was an excellent idea if you ask me - this game is becoming a league of nations.

According to the Stansted Airport website, trains to Liverpool Street in Central London run every 15 minutes. It's about a 45 minute journey.

From there, according to the National Rail website, you can get a direct train to Bromley. They run every 7 minutes and the journey will take around an hour.

Either way, you will be in plenty of time for the game.

Perhaps some of the locals will know even better/quicker routes to Bromely from the airport.

Hey, it's Norway, we're all non league smile

Vaalerenga from Oslo is in the top league, but is sh*te at the moment, a bad league team may equal a good non-league team? smile

Saw that tickets were out on presale, it would be our usual luck that it would be sold out before we even got there..

RYYAAAN!!!!! HELP!!!!!!

Is Billericay Town FC now a truely global product?

I'll get you and Oy 2 tickets Saturday morning if they are on sale. You'll definately get in though.

Bromley is fairly straight forward to get to and shouldn't take long from Liverpool St.

Top effort, see you Saturday!

I saw Stabæk play in Oslo back in '99. How are they doing these days?

And I spotted a BTFC scarf on the wall of a bar in Oslo on the same trip. I forget the name of the place, but I'm sure it must have been one of the Norwegian Supporters Club behind it?

The quickest way get to Bromley isn't via Liverpool Street!

When you board the train at Stansted make sure it stops at Tottenham Hale (it does 90% of the time) change here and get Victoria line(blue line) straight into Victoria then on to Bromley South,That should save you about 25-30 mins,That should get you in for kick off

Good luck fella's let's hope the flight arrives on time.

Must have been either Belfry (where the English in Oslo goes) or Bohemen (the Vaalerenga pub), or O'Reillys, an Irish pub. I've left scarves at those pubs so the proper Essex boys may feel at home.

Stabaek is doing average as usual, no supporters, no stadium, no sole, just a club coming from a (extremely) posh area where singing is limited to the pop of the bottle of champagne on new years eve (Dom Perignon, 54, 57 or 62, dont even mention 57). Still, they are above Vaalerenga at the moment.

Cheers, see You tomorrow!
