The introduction of Rudi Hall (Enfield Town) and Chris Bourne (Canvey Island) proved to be the key to the match. With minutes, Bourne had been denied, cutting in from the left flank and seeing a slight deflection send his curled shot wide, but ten minutes later Bourne ran into the area, latched onto a flick from Jay May and lifted the ball over Dan Ashley to open the scoring.
