A good result for the League last night in the Eastren Floodlight Competition semi-final :- Heybridge Swifts 1 Southend Manor 3. Can anyone tell us the other semi ?

There is always the Tolleshunt Darcy Cup Semi Final of Hullbridge Vs Heybridge Swifts, at Scraley Road, Heybridge on Saturday Kick Off 3pm...

 

...but then again Im not sure.

I believe Br ntwood drew 1-1* with Tilbury on 19 April in this competition. Whether this was a semi-final or not I don't know. It seems to be a competition with few entrants.

*Br ntwood would have won 2-1 if the ref had accepted, as most present seemed to have done, that Br ntwood scored when the ball went in Tilbury's goal and out through a hole in the net.

natter RE that game. from what i heard the draw left tilbury and brentwood with an identical record in their group. (i believe groups in this competition are groups of 3!!!!!) so they require another game as a play-off.

 

this competition doesnt normally finish until pre season as maldon played billericay in pre season and that was the final. for the record it was 3-3 aet and billericay won on pens. with one steve portway sent off for maldon and one chris whelpdale having a worldy and getting picked up by billericay.
