'The great one' will naturally be at all the league and cup games, he is the Head Coach afterall.

'The great one' is overseeing virtually everything at the Club at the moment and is chief cook and bottle washer like he was at Charlton. That's why we gave him special dispensation to miss last Saturday's friendly at Basildon United due to an unavoidable family emergency, if it had been a league or cup game then his wife would have happily got the tube or a cab to Heathrow to catch her flight to Lagos.

Paula - That's a little unfair, I admit that I didn't know he wasn't coming on Saturday until I got to Basildon's ground but I wouldn't say that I was gutted and on the verge of slitting my wrists, I was more disappointed for you actually when I got your call saying that you had arrived knowing that you wouldn't have the privilege of seeing him. Tell me, if he had of been there would you have knelt down in front of him and kissed his hand as is customary for Nigerian men and women to do.

But surely you could take some of the bottle washing off his hands as you no longer hold your former club position?

Incidentally Rhodes, we are looking to improve the Bigg Town prog this coming season and I really would be interested in running the eyes with which I am equipped over your weighty tome (the programme that is - you smutty lot!). I am happy to PM my address if you wish and if you don't mind me taking tips from from your award winning effort.

Last time I was at Basildon Utd someone in their first team/management had freshly shat on the toilet seat in the visitors changing room. Charmed I'm sure! It didn't work, we took the 3 points. Nevertheless, that club went down in my estimation so much through such petty antics. I believe it only fires people up more. I made every player look at what they had done - the result spoke for itself.

Wader - Yes by all means PM me your address and I'll put one of our weighty tome's in the post to you tomorrow, it will be a pleasure. Give me your verdict in a couple of months or so after you've finished reading it.

No he had to take his wife to the Airport. You will know all about family emergencies for example when your good lady asks you to accompany her to DFS and IKEA and Christmas shopping on the last Saturday before Christmas. By the way before I forget can I enquire whether you have seen the new Harry Potter film yet, I'm sure you are a fan.
