07/08 Haringey Borough v Kentish

Yes the performance was very good that day, especially the two guys up front. I think it was Saf and Tom that were the ones who were humbled in my presence wink

Tiger - I do talk the talk and walk the walk whenever I can, I can also run and play a bit as well. I did predict KTFC 1st would finish 6th and they did. The reserve team should also have done better. Ability is within the club no doubt but dont think the club accept "change" too well. As long as as a team with little experience stay together that additional step will never be made. getting a ground would be helpful also!

there you go rock, contradicting your self, by saying that you can play a bit, are you sure, maybe some of us have watched you play and what can i say, and on the point that the club cannot accept change, is total garbbage, look at man utd they started with inexperinced players and now three years later the are champions, some of the players at kentish town have now been together for three years and these players will fill their potential. of that i have no doubt, i would not go to watch any other team and will continue to watch kentish town and watch them take giant steps in the next few years.

Players have potential but experience always helps. Look at MAN UTD!!! They have additional experienced players that were not at the club 3 years ago. Its simple KTFC can progress if 1) Ground 2) New Players (experienced) 3) Change of Temparment when things dont go the way you want them to. Then u may win the championship

I haven't got a clue who the Rock is but I agree with him, you won't win anything at senior level with a team full of kids (excuse the term), a good balance is needed.

NeutralFan - We haven't got a team full of kids and we have a very good balance, Lee Scott for example is 24.

Kids wasn't just a term I used about age, it is to include experience as well. What experience of senior football do they have? Reading your posts not much as you suggested they couldn't handle being wound up. They also stuggled once the pitches didn't suit 'their' style. All things that experience would help overcome by adapting.

This is also partly down to the manager as well who has to make those decisions along with a coach who can teach these things.

I thought Lee Scott hasn't been around since early in the year? If your oldest player is 24 then I think you'll start seeing your team really coming to their peak in about 3-4 years time.

If they stay together that is.

NeutralFan - I'm sorry but you are way off beam which is why 3praise couldn't wait to agree with you. A Saint would be wound up if having to endure what our players have had to this season and we haven't struggled with pitches that haven't suited us, you have been listening too much to Potters Bar Town, we could play our 'total football' style you had the privilege of witnessing, open mouthed, at Hoddesdon on Southend beach.

Yes exactly, that's what I'm saying but still a far better playing surface than Brache Sparta, Winslow United and Harpenden Town.

Maldini - I don't run other Club's down and simply call it as I see it, have you been to Brache Sparta, Harpenden Town and Winslow United as I can assure you that we would much prefer playing on Southend Beach. Anyway we have a place to call home now and it will be one of the best playing surfaces in the SSML, Broxbourne Borough and Hanwell Town style.

unforttunatly not all clubs are lucky enough to have top notch pitches, but that is life and they do the best that they can with what they have, and that is no direspect to them or their club, and our club will not always be able to play on lush pitches, so they will have to adapt and they will

Well the same applies to our beloved Borough and the hallowed Coles Park turf, the pitch has an infamous reputation of being one of the worst, if not the worst, in the entire SSML and, as you know, light drizel can see it flooded within seconds and games called off however I'm not running the Club down. What I suggest is that 'Sugar' finds a decent grant or gets Council help to dig it up, address the drainage problem once and for all and then get a proper playing surface laid, it's hardly rocket science.
