Seconded. 10 men for all that time you hung in there and when it mattered scored the 5 pens. It was a good save from your keeper from Boylan, noone blames him for the miss

 

Whelpdale . christ that boys got some conk and didnt i let him know it but he can play a bit !

 

and your centre backs, cart horses but do the job and do it well (apart from the slice that nearly went in!)

 

someone had to win and someone had to lose and right now im fn gutted but both teams must take pride from a great game, scrappy but what football is all about

 

remember the jobs only half done, play like you did tonight and you can win the final

Many thanks to all the City guys for the posts here and elsewhere, truly sporting and what non-league is all about. Once the wild celebrations had finally calmed down, I did feel for you guys (just for a few seconds mind!) as walking back to the car along with some seriously subdued Claret fans reminded me we've all known the gutting feeling of walking away from a seriously heartbreaking defeat but both clubs can take pride in a great night, great match and great occasion for local soccer.

obviously 2025 is not to be sniffed at but with the importance of the match and some of the crowds chelmo have had since the new ground was opened you would of thought their would be more,billericay would of obviously took a few hundred at least,any ideas on how many you took there???

Congratulations Ricay - I wasn't there, but I gather it was a good n1ght.

Think I need a new mouse for my computer - clicking the refresh button on the soapbox every 5 seconds has just about knackered it!

Good luck for Saturday (VERY good luck if it's AFCW), and one way or another, hope to meet up with you again the season after next.
