CCFC arrangements - Questions answered

In a reply to Rick question on the Ez for the ten or so of you coming tonight........I quote,

Quote:
Drinking in the away section? Sorry, no. Our licence only allows for consumption of alcohol in the clubhouse itself and, due to the timescales, it was impossible to get any sort of temporary change to this. Trust me, if we could have done it, we would. However, there are plenty of public houses in the immediate vicinity.

Refreshments for away supporters? We have laid on a large burger-van for the away section that also sells hot/cold drinks.

Toilets for away supporters? We already have a brick toilet block in the away side but have laid on additional portaloo facilities that will be situated at the end furthest from the turnstiles. The Council have also kindly given us dispensation for the far end of the away section to be a temporary smoking area for the evening.

We always make a conscious effort to ensure that away supporters (when segregated) have the same access to facilities that the home fans do. We like to think that we have done so on this occasion, despite the tight timescales involved.

Finally - and I was hoping that this didn't need to be said but in light of some comments, it obviously does - there will be NO tolerance of away supporters infiltrating the home section (or, indeed, vice versa). Anyone deemed excessively under the influence of alcohol will be refused admission at the turnstiles. There will also be random searches of individuals outside the ground. In addition, we have a police-presence at the game tonight that is in excess of the numbers that would be deemed normal for a game of this type. We are sure that all genuine supporters (of both sides) will welcome these steps in an effort to ensure that everyone experiences a safe and comfortable evening.

Enjoy the game.

I'm sure you will still moan, but as the away team that's your right I suppose!!!!!! bootyshake

Personally speaking I think you should hurt the Clarets where they hate it most IN THE POCKET. Now rember the gate is split 40/40 so still go but boycott the refreshent facilities as this is thier own money. Just take your own refreshments.

Oh and by the way enjoy the body frisking you will probally all get.

I HAVE, and believe me, you're talking WEEKS, not HOURS. Additionally, the licencing authority would want to know the REASON for the extension! Nuff said?

BC the new Licencing laws are VERY different, I fully understand the reason why CCFC have taken the decision not to sell alcohol to the away support, If the game had been at Billericay I would have done the same, but had ccfc really wanted to sell alcohol on the far side then Licencing would not have been a problem.

Conscious effort that away supporters have access to the same facilities...Hmmmn

Hengist:-

The refreshments are nothing to do with us and we get only a 'site' fee, so thats bollox for a start.

And apart from a goal end and the bar, they have the same facilities TC as you very well know. Anyway, why will it bother you as you will be on the Balcony of the directors lounge, not with the mob.

I hope they random search me Local Fan.

Do you understand the legal problems of a steward doing this to a member of the public against his wishes?

There is a set procedure that has to be adhered to when searching any individual. You better make sure all of the people doing these random searches understand this!!!
