Thought Oners had invested in a sat nav after the last time it happened. Must be the same one as his mate K invested in. K, along with the rest our of our players that were following him, arrived at 2.55 at Hythe on Saturday - totally lost and had no idea where they were, was the encouraging message we received at around 2.40!

 

Despite the not very ideal preparation, the Trams turned in a good performance to win 1-0 at Hythe. Finished the season with 4 consecutive wins. Closed the gap on Whitstable from 11 points to 3, but we finished 3rd in the end, as VCD Athletic finally caught up their games in hand to pip us for 2nd place.

Still 3rd place is a hell of a lot higher than we were expecting! If we keep the squad together for next season, and add a couple of players, then I would hope we could go 2 better next season.

 

Decided to make a weekend of it with the missus, so stayed up in Hythe (just down the road from Folkestone for the geographically challenged)on Friday night. Damned good weekend - the earth moved for us at 8.18am on Saturday ... quite literally!

I assume Oners got caught in the traffic on the North Circ, accident on Sat morning near the A10 junction causing massive tailbacks.
