No matter how you dress it up its been a failure. And with news of the drainage system no go. Budget cuts and the never ending stadium (pie in the sky) fiasco.

No point having a row about it. It ain't gonna change anything.

 

We were all disappointed with the lack of consistency, all the more so because we have seen how good this team can be.

 

At the start of the season we would probably have taken any one of: promotion, a good cup run, a start date for the stadium. We didn't get any of those, so in that sense failure.

 

That's not to criticise any individual, it's just the way things go. Just football I suppose.

 

On the plus side, Trotty has done well in his first full season to get a respectable 6th place. We have seen some good football and great goals, and we have a squad to build on next season. Also the club now has a decent structure and proper reserve side (who did get promoted), and some good youngsters have started getting picked for the first team. So moderate success on those fronts don't you think?

People are moaning about the cut in the budget but sometimes you have to go back to go forward. Also if the 5-a-side pitches are successful, which i can't see why not then that will generate extra money for the club.
