Havn't even seen them play but if they finished 6th in that leauge they must be 1 bob as a few of my mates play for the sun and they have to have a bell in the ball just to play football!!

I would say KTFC are a good team, finished in the position expected but need better management of players, motivation and experience in the team. Think they will need change of staff to push to that next level but without a ground and the chopping and changing from here to there it will be difficult for them.

Browndog - I have to say I'm disappointed by your comments, firstly I thought your comments about Gavin were grossly unfair and below the belt however now he has had the last laugh you appeasr to be turning your attentions to me. I don't try to bore people at all, is it my fault they don't like the truth when confronted with it, take Harefield United for example, they are always the bridesmaid and never the bride and I wonder whether you really want promotion to Step 4. I also gather that your application for promotion this season was not processed by the FA because it arrived at Soho Square late, was that accidentally on purpose.

Browndog - Why are you being like this, what have I done to you. You don't know the first thing about Kentish Town, at least we are ambitious unlike Harefield United, you are in a comfort zone at Preston Park knowing that moving up to Step 4 level will be a bridge too far for you such as Hanwell Town. You have a nice set up with a steady income through your bar, local sponsorship and the mobile telephone masts so I suppose who can really blame you at the end of the day.

I dont see how you can say that Harefield are not ambitious I went to the ground the other night and it looked a great set up, I suppose you base your oppinion on why they havnt't applied for promotion ?

It probably all boils down to money the added expense of getting promotion ie players would want a bit more money, travel ect take a look at AFC Sudbury didnt go up for years just stayed at level 5 and made loads of money from the FA Vase.If you say that KTFC are ambitious then you need to get a move on as 6th in Div 1 is not exactly going fot it !!

If Browndog criticises my Club then I will criticise his it's as simple as that, I know two wrongs don't make a right but actually Harefield United do appear to be an unambitious Club. If it boils down to money as you suggest then they can surely allow for that and go out knocking on doors in the village as we have to do at Kentish Town just to survive, there must be a lot of rich people in Harefield willing to put a few quid into their Community Club as it's an afluent area.

Manorborn - I'm a little upset by your comments, you of all people should know that I have quite a wide knowledge of the beautiful game having been involved at the sharp end for over 40 years. What is your own opinion of Harefield United then out of interest, they have FA Charter Standard status, excellent facilities that would easily pass Step 4, possibly even Step 3 criteria and are not a poor Club by any means yet they choose to remain happily at Step 5 level in the comfort zone of the SSML, something doesn't quite add up in my book.

That's exactly my point. I'm not disputing your knowledge of the game. Who have you spoken to at Harefield to be able to say "yet they choose to remain happily at step 5". The same goes for the Hounslow comments you made previously while only knowing part of one side of the story. You really must stop making assumptions dear boy.

By the way what do you mean by "involved at the sharp end for over 40 years". I don't recall you being at Haringey during the Peter Lawler years. What exactly is your "sharp end" experience if you don't mind me asking?
