No I didn't ever answer that question. Is it particularly relevant? As for the ground requiremnts, the SSML have said we're definitely OK to go up so I suppose that gets rid of any 'doubt about Chalk Lane'. Premier here we come!

2nd meadow has only 3 sides - doesn't stop them being in the prem.

As I understand it, the new FA ground regs for step 5 come into effect for the 2008-09 season, so next season only the league has to be satisfied.

And well done to both Cockfosters & Brimsdown.

Are you sure about that, I didn't think it was.

I don't believe it's quite the same scenario as Cockfosters whereby behind one of their goals it's a total 'no mans land' for want of a better term, don't the rules state quite clearly that there has to be a walkway around the entire perimeter of a pitch at Step 5 level.

HTFCew - Yes I was there earlier in the campaign as we played them in the Challenge Trophy in what was the result of the first round if you recall. I thought people could squeeze between the hedge and the sideline of the pitch and there is plenty of scope to make it four sided if need be whereas at Cockfosters there isn't.

At this level, there does have to be a barrier around the pitch outside of which spectators stand, and at Bigg U the hedge serves as the barrier, as it is only about 6 feet from the touch line. The other side of the barrier is a cricket ground, and there was a game on Saturday there at the same time as our game. There is no scope to make it 4 sided at the moment.

There are plenty of 3 sided grounds around - some at higher levels than ours. No-one else has a problem with them.

It's good to see two of the old local Spartan League teams back in the Premier, used to have to good games with both of them back in the day!!

I don't have a problem, I was merely asking the question whether Chalk Lane met Premier Division criteria for next season that was all.

What does it matter, it doesn't affect you does it.. you finished 6th!! Well done Hoddy on a respectable 5th, hopefully they can build on that and push for promotion next season.
